मुख्यालय से पूरी अनुपस्थिति के लिए दैनिक भत्ता(यानी मुख्यालय से प्रस्थान के साथ शुरू और मुख्यालय में आगमन के साथ समाप्त) निम्नलिखित रूप से विनियमित किया जाएगा:-
आधी रात से आधी रात तक अनुपस्थिति के प्रत्येक, पूर्ण कैलेंडर दिवस के लिए पूर्ण दैनिक भत्ता प्रदान किया जा सकता है । चौबीस घंटे से कम समय तक मुख्यालय से अनुपस्थित रहने पर, दैनिक भत्ता निम्नलिखित दरों पर स्वीकार्य होगा:-

| For absence exceeding six hours but not exceeding twelve hours | 70% |
| For absence exceeding twelve hours | Full |
यदि मुख्यालय से अनुपस्थिति की अवधि दो दिन आती है, तो इसे दो दिन के रूप में गिना जाता है और ऊपर के रूप में प्रत्येक के लिए दैनिक भत्ते की गणना की जाती है । चौबीस घंटे की अवधारणा अब ऑपरेटिव नहीं है । इसी तरह मुख्यालय में आगमन से प्रस्थान के दिनों के लिए दैनिक भत्ता भी तदनुसार विनियमित किया जाएगा ।
जहां दूसरा दौरा उसी दिन शुरू होता है जिस दिन कोई सरकारी कर्मचारी पहले दौरे से लौटता है, प्रत्येक दौरे को अलग से माना जा सकता है और दैनिक भत्ते की गणना भी अलग से की जा सकती है, निसंदेह इस शर्त पर कि किसी भी कैलेंडर दिवस पर प्रत्येक दौरे के लिए अलग से गणना की जाने वाली दैनिक भत्ता एक दैनिक भत्ते से अधिक नहीं होगा ।
Daily Allowance for the entire absence from headquarter, i.e. starting with departure from headquarters and ending with arrival at headquarters, will be regulated as under: -
Full daily allowance may be granted for each, completed calendar day of absence reckoned from midnight to midnight. For absence from headquarters for less than twenty four hours, the daily allowance will be admissible at the following rates: -

| For absence exceeding twelve hours | Full |
In case the period of absence from headquarters falls on two days, it is reckoned as two days and daily allowance is calculated for each as above. The concept of twenty four hours is no longer operative. Similarly, daily allowance for days of departure from the arrival at headquarters, will also be regulated accordingly.
Where the second tour commences on the same day on which a Government servant returns from the first tour, each tour may be treated separately and daily allowance may also be calculated separately subject, of course, to the condition that daily allowance calculated separately for each tour on any calendar day shall not exceed one daily allowance.
